E-Glide offers Lithium-Ion battery upgrades on most of their electric skateboards. Lithium upgrades are not cheap but hardcore powerboard enthusiasts appreciate the massive boost in range and the reduction of over half the total powerboard weight. Increased performance is also aided by a lighter, more responsive electric skateboard.
The Lithium Upgrade on the All Terrain includes a 36 volt, 15 amp hour lithium battery that reduces the board weight by 17 pounds and provides a substantial increase in range to 25 miles. Acceleration, torque, and top speed are increased as this new lithium battery operates at higher voltages and produces more power. Operation is smoother as this battery has a BMS (battery management system) which smooths out the transfer of power.
E-Glide lithiums (LIFEP04) come in standard E-Glide battery cases and are installed the same as standard batteries. A special lithium charger is included. The Lithium battery upgrade complete with charger is an additional $800. The one year warranty covers exchange for a new battery in the first six months, and is prorated for months 6 through 12. |
