The
E+ is powered by a newly designed and proprietary EMS 1000
watt (750 watt standard) hub-mounted, brushless permanent
magnet motor with a state-of-the-art microprocessor and
field oriented control.
This
proprietary design, only available on E+ bikes, is the world's
lightest 85 Newton meter 1000 watt motor with embedded power
and control electronics.
In
regenerative mode, the motor acts as an anti-lock brake
to provide stability and control, even on steep, loose terrain.
Operation of the E+ electric bicycle motor is ultra responsive
and virtually silent.

units of poor quality and limited capabilities.
E+ uses a display controller unit with state-of-the-art
microprocessor designed for the E+.
The
E+ battery pack is also newly designed and proprietary
and available only on E+ bikes. It features a 36
Volt 9 Ah NiMH battery with replaceable sets of
5 cells and electronics sealed inside the front
hub.
